It's June 17 and I'm now in El
Salvador! I'm going to be staying in San Salvador, the capital, for
two nights before going to Santa de Maria. Day 1 has been pretty
relaxed. I got picked up at the airport by my best El Salvadoran
buddy Patty. We immediately went to lunch at a great seafood place. We ate some super-fresh
oysters and I had what's called a seafood cocktail. After lunch I went to the hotel and chilled out. Hanged out on the patio, took some pictures of their plants and practiced a little
Spanish. Last, I had dinner with Patty and her husband. We ate the
traditional El Salvadoran dish called pupusas, which is a hand-made
corn or rice tortilla with a blend of cheese and beans in the middle.
The pupusas were delicious and I downed them with some El Salvadorian
beer. I'm super full and ready for bed!
